Our Story

In 2008 during his time away, Kenneth Martin received instructions from the Lord to commence the work that would be Impact Christian Ministries.  In his absence, the ministry would be led by Evangelist Ruth Hart.  On June 6, 2008, Pastor Dr. Ruth Hart was ordained as a Pastor by Bishop Restine Jackson of Greater Grace Worship Center of Clinton, MD.  On Sunday, June 8th, Pastor Ruth Hart held Impact Christian first service at 7181 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, at 1:00 p.m.  In attendance were Pastor Hart, Mrs. Virginia Gray, Evangelist Robyn Parker, Minister Ann Addison, Minister Glenda and Craig Owens, and Minister Blondell Thomas.
 
Impact Christian Ministries received 501(3)c status August 14,2008. The initial Board of Trustees were Pastor Dr. Ruth Hart, Apostle Dr. Craig A. Booker, Minister Ann Addison, Minister Glenda Owens, and Evangelist Robyn Parker.
 
On November 15, 2009, God blessed Impact Christian Ministries to lease property at 6921 52nd Avenue in Hyattsville, MD.  We were at that location until June 2010.  On June 5, 2010, we began services at 7804 Cryden Way, District Heights, MD 20747.  In May 2021, we moved to our present location a few doors down to 7808 Cryden Way.
 
On September 8, 2015, Kenneth Martin was ordained and installed as the Senior Pastor of Impact Christian Ministries by Pastor Radcliff of Salisbury, MD.  Since that time, Pastor Kenneth Martin has continued to bring forth the unadulterated gospel, determining to fulfill that which God has called him to do.

We acknowledge Jesus Christ as the head of our church and fully submit ourselves to His will. In every aspect of our ministry our goal is always to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. Therefore, we submit ourselves to its teaching, commit ourselves to do what it says, and yield our lives to become what Christ desires for us to be.

We believe in the power of prayer. Therefore, the ministries and activities our church will be characterized by a reliance on personal and corporate prayer in all areas of our lives and ministry.


We believe in the Great Commission commanded to us by Jesus Christ and we are committed to reaching unsaved and unchurched people locally, nationally and worldwide. We will use every available Christ-honoring means to pursue, win and disciple the people in our sphere of influence.

We believe God ordained the family to glorify him. We are committed to cultivate an atmosphere which promotes spiritual growth within the family by reaching families with the gospel, discipling them in Christ-like character and teaching each family member how to fulfill their God-given role.
